The Gospel

Salvation is Needed

Sin is anything contrary to God and His will. We all sin and deserve eternal punishment in the Lake of Fire. None of us can do anything to change our sin nature.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23 KJB

There is a fundamental problem in all of us called sin. Sin is anything that we do that is contrary to God and His will. The Bible says, "...there is none righteous, no, not one..." and declares, "...all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:10, 23 KJB)

God is righteous, we are not. It is made clear in scripture that the wrath of God will be against "...all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men." (Romans 1:18 KJB) None of us can do anything to change our sin nature, and the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23 KJB)

We deserve eternal punishment in the lake of fire for our unrighteousness and trespasses against God. We will all one day give account of our lives to God. (Romans 14:12 KJB) Scripture says of this future judgment, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Revelation 20:13-15 KJB)

Salvation is Available (by Christ’s Shed Blood)

God sent his son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin. Jesus, being without sin, was crucified, dead, and buried. Three days later, he rose from the dead and defeated sin.

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8 KJB

Jesus lived a perfect life free of sin, but was unrighteously killed on a cross by the very ones he came to save. Three days after his death, He was raised from the dead, defeating sin and death, and made alive again! Jesus Christ has finished the work needed for everyone’s salvation.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith Alone

If you believe in Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection as the payment for your sins, and this alone, you are saved.

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." - Romans 4:5 KJB

The Bible stresses that there is no work of your own that can be done to achieve the righteousness needed for your salvation, but that God has already done the necessary work for you!

In the Book of Ephesians it is said, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Eph 2:8,9 KJB)

If you believe from the heart in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection as the only payment for your sins, the Bible says that this truth will count for righteousness, and you are saved from eternal separation and punishment! It is belief in this alone, with nothing else added, that saves you from sin.

In whom [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins... - Colossians 1:14 KJB
