Those who seek righteousness and justification through the works of the law place themselves under a curse. The law requires works of obedience and can only ever condemn those who fail to keep it entirely. Through Christ's finished work, God can freely impute righteousness and give the Spirit by faith. Rather than returning to the bondage of the law, believers today can stand fast in the liberty of God's grace.
